UNION — Mary Cole Thomas, 87, 130 Adams Lake Road, departed her life on Dec. 31, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late James Edward Thomas.
She was born on July 24, 1925 in Sharon, S.C.
Survivors include her children, James Lewis Thomas (Sheila) of Asheville, N.C., Joe Robert Thomas, Clifford E. (Rhonda) Thomas, Anthony Thomas, Cynthia T. (Charlie) White, all of Union, S.C., Mark A. (Yolanda) Thomas of Duncan, S.C., and a grandchild reared in the home, Lakesha C. (Rodney) Glover of Rock Hill, S.C.; five siblings, Minnie B. Thomas of Columbus, OH, Helen “Ruth” Greer of Union, S.C., John William (Rose) Cole of Columbus, OH, Mary (Edward) Moye of Columbia, S.C., and Robert Cole of Union, S.C.; three sisters-in-law, Mattie Lee Thomas of Union, S.C., Gertrude Thomas of Newark, N.J., and Louise Cole of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers-in-law, Frank H. Wilson Sr. and Frank (Willie) Goode of Union, S.C.; a host of grandbabies, great-grandbabies, great-great-grandbabies, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family is at 130 Adams Lake Road.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Mt. Hopewell Baptist Church, 8375 Lockhart Highway, Sharon, S.C. 29742.
The viewing will be Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Divine Mortuary, 190 Lovers Lane Raod, Union, S.C. 29379.
Divine Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
