SPARTANBURG — Edna Burris Tribble, 433 Parkdale Drive, died Dec. 14, 2012.

A native of Union, she was the wife of Charles Edward “Billy” Tribble of the home and the daughter of the late James Oliver Burris Sr. and Dera “Dora” Foster. She was a graduate of Spartanburg High School and Brown Mackie College. She was a former employee of the Kohler Company and a volunteer with St. Luke’s Free Medical Clinic.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, William (Letalia) Johnson, Jr. and Joshua Tribble; three daughters, Jacqueline (Anthony) Kinard, Conswella Hill, and Ursula Lanier; two brothers, James O. Burris, Jr. and David (Brenda) Talley; seven sisters, Annette Smith, Nathaline Thomas, Brenda (Frank) Glenn, Dorothy Thomas, Laurie (Rev. John) Henderson, Vivian (Alonzo, Jr.) Wilson, and Sandra Henderson; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Life Changing Ministry, 504 Hart St., Union with burial in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home.
