GAFFNEY — Mrs. April Michelle Petty Varnadore, 38, 123 Hillsdale St., Gaffney, S.C., died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 unexpectedly.

Born Dec. 8, 1973, a daughter of Linda Ruth Garner Helton and the late James Thomas “J.T.” Petty Jr.

Survivors in addition to her mother are two daughters, Courtney Petty, Destiny Nicole Varnadore; one son, Joshua Varnadore; four brothers, Timothy Mark Hopper, John Wayne Petty, Brian K. Petty, Henry Petty; two sisters, Lisa K. McDowell, Cathy Petty; two grandchildren, Ethan Alexander Wells, Bryson Varnadore; and a special friend, John Flynn.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Faye Hopper Calvert.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at The Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Weaver officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1:45 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

The family is at their respective homes.
