UNION, SC — Betty Jean Randolph, 60, 305 Richards St., Union, formerly of Cross Hill, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at her home after a long battle with cancer.

Ms. Randolph was born in Massillon, OH, April 19, 1950, a daughter of the late Beede "Bud" W. Randolph and Faye Kathleen Lyons Randolph. She was a 20 year retiree from the US Navy having worked in communications and served as a company commander. During her military career, she served on bases in Maryland, Chicago, Florida, Iceland, Bermuda, Hawaii and Diego Garcia. Afterwards, she was an employee with Timken in Clinton. Ms. Randolph was and avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Surviving are four sisters, Sandy Fink and husband Dick of Prescott Valley, AZ, Gail Janaiak and husband Richie of Massillon, OH, Lynn Miller of Cross Hill, and Kathy Gognat of Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, Bruce Randolph of Camden, AK, Greg Randolph of Massillon OH and Ron Randolph and wife Sharon of Chicago, IL; a special friend of 17 years Linda Arthur of Union; her "adopted parents" Maria Arthur and the late Doil Arthur of Union; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members, the Arthur family and the Gibbs family, her beloved pets; and many other special friends.

Ms. Randolph was predeceased by three brothers, Gerald, Donnie, and Keith Randolph, and one sister, Meeda Faye White.

Funeral services will be held 1p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Chapman and Rev. Tommy McManess. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery will Full Military Honors.

Active pallbearers will be Skip Miller, Tommy Lanford, Torance Inman, Woody Robertson, Jimmy Arthur, and Mike Gregory.

Staff and nurses of Interim Hospice of Spartanburg and employees of Timken Plant, Clinton are asked to serve as the honorary escort.

The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses of Interim Hospice of Spartanburg for their care and concern of Ms. Randolph.

The family is at the home, 305 Richards St., Union, SC.
