Any young ladies 8 to 17 years old interested in playing travel AAU/YBOA spring/summer basketball should meet with Lady Jackets Varsity coaches Yoneko Washington and Melvin Allen 9 a.m. Jan. 23 at First Baptist Church Gym.
Boys tennis try-outs planned for Feb. 1
Anyone interested in playing boys tennis should meet at the UCHS tennis courts Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m. You must have a sports physical to participate.
Dixie Girls Softball holding registration
The Union Dixie Girls Softball Association will be holding sign-ups for the 2010 season on Saturdays through Feb. 13.
Cost is $50. The league is for children aged four to 12; 13 to 18. Register 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting Jan. 23 at the Union County Recreation Department.
