District Manager Brett Burgess said the restaurant closed Saturday after lunch so work could begin on remodeling the interior and the facade. Burgess said the remodeling of the restaurant’s interior includes installation of new floor tile, new chairs and new booths in the dining area and a complete makeover of the restrooms. The work on the exterior includes a new metal roof around the facade, a new tower out front, a new entryway and fresh paint.
While the restaurant is closed to customers, the drive-thru will remain open on its regular schedule while the remodeling is taking place. Burgess said if all goes according to plan the restaurant will begin serving indoor meals again Friday shortly after breakfast.
The restaurant, which opened in the early 1970s, was last remodeled approximately six years ago.
