CARLISLE — The Town of Carlisle needs volunteers to assist in distributing food to the need families of the community on Tuesday.
Municipal Clerk Shannon McBride said Thursday that the town needs volunteers to help pack the food and carry it out for the citizens receiving the boxes of food.
Tuesday’s distribution, which will be held at the Carlisle Town Hall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is for residents of the Carlisle community only. McBride said persons who want to receive a box of food must bring with them their identification so the town can confirm that they are residents of the community.
The food for the distribution will be provided by The Potters Storehouse in Jonesville which has partnered with the town for food distributions for the past two years. During its last distribution in January, the town distributed food to 125 families. At its November distribution, the town distributed food to 90 families.
