The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Kenneth Lamar Norman, 29, of 208 Monroe St., Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 7:40 a.m. on March 13. According to the arrest warrant, Norman engaged in a physical altercation with a woman, striking her about the head, while at Li’l Cricket, located at 100 North Duncan Bypass in Union.
— Donathan Lanell Brannon, 40, of 302 Lawson Ave., Union, and Steven Lamont Smith, 31, of 107 Scott St., Union, were each charged with disorderly conduct around 6:50 p.m. on March 13. According to arrest warrants, the two men engaged in a physical altercation while on Lybrand Street in Union.
— Gilliette Denise Edwards, 38, of 1208 West Main Street, Union, was charged with phone harassment around 5:25 p.m. on March 13. According to the arrest warrant, Edwards called a man’s phone, leaving a profane and vulgar message in which she threatened him.
— John Michael Sumner, 59, of 104 Bridle Trail Lane, Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 10:20 p.m. on March 13. According to the incident report, Sumner was under the influence of alcohol and his actions caused a woman to fear for her safety.
— Chuck Randall Lipsey, Jr., 22, of 301 Highland Drive, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 8:40 p.m. on March 13.
— Jason Shane Lanier, 36, of 301 Highland Drive, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 8:40 p.m. on March 13.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incident:
— A resident of North Boyce Street, Union, reported on March 13 that the battery had been stolen from her vehicle overnight. She stated the doors to the vehicle were locked at the time. The battery is valued at approximately $100.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of T. Bishop Road, Jonesville, reported on March 13 that she discovered upon returning home that someone had made entry through the back door of her residence and removed two Vizio flat screen televisions. The televisions are valued at approximately $400.
— A resident of Debbie Lane, Union, reported on March 13 that when submitting her income tax information to the IRS by computer, she was advised that her Social Security number had already been used on another form. She was advised to contact the IRS and the Social Security office, as well as report the incident to law enforcement.
— A resident of Old Union Road, Union, reported on March 13 that she has been receiving harassing text messages from a subject since October 2012. The complainant reported the incident to have it on record.
