UNION — Warren William “Crack” Carter Sr., 80, 300 S. Wallace St., died March 7, 2013.
A native of Union, he was the husband of Catherine Cunningham Carter and the son of the late Floree Neal. He served in the U. S. Army, was a graduate of Sims High School, and was a retired upholster and tailor.
Survivors in addition to his wife include six sons, Warren “Dickey” Carter Jr., Ronald “Stank” Carter, Daniel Brooks, Donald Carter, Curtis Carter, Darryl Carter, and Valentino Carter; four daughters, Valerie Jones (Jerry) Simmons, Denise Carter, Michelle Carter, and Patricia Carter, NY; 22 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Saint Paul Baptist Church with burial in the Saint Paul Society Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home.
