The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Shermorris Shynelle Clowney, 20, of 120 Aqua Lane, Union, was charged with violation of the zero tolerance law, possession of alcohol by a person under 21 and failure to stop for a blue light around 3:50 a.m. on Mar. 3; and Russell Correll Henry, 26, of 524 Hart Street, Union, was charged with broken alcohol seal and transfer of alcohol to a minor around 3:55 a.m. on March 3. According to the incident report, officers responded to a disturbance at Buffalo Street in Buffalo. When they arrived, they observed two people sitting in a car — which was running with lights on — in front of the residence. When the car’s reverse lights came on, officers activated blue lights, and the car accelerated. A short chase ended when officers were able to stop the car at the intersection of Main Street and Linersville Road in Buffalo. Clowney was driving the car and consented to field sobriety tests, which she failed. Both Clowney and Henry were transported to Union County Jail.
— Zedrick Deon Harris, 26, of 202 Scott St., Union, was charged with driving under the influence by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and possession of a Schedule III narcotic (2nd), possession of drug paraphernalia by the Union County Sheriff’s Office around 11:55 p.m. on March 1. According to the incident report, Harris drove up to a check point conducted by the sheriff’s office and the SCHP, and officers noticed Harris hiding something in his hand. When asked to open his hand, Harris refused, and he was taken to the ground by officers. Harris threw two pills into the vehicle. Harris had $1,646 in cash, a white pill believed to be Loratab, and a set of scales. A half blue Loratab and an unknown pink pill were also found in the vehicle. Harris was transported to Union County Jail, and the cash, scales and Harris’ cell phone were taken as evidence.
— Cody Evans Harris, 21, of 102 Walker Heights, Union, was charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance around 6:50 p.m. on March 3. According to the incident report, a witness reported to police after seeing Harris force entry into a residence on Fairmont Street in Union. When arrested, Harris had pain medication in his possession for which he did not have a prescription at the time. Harris was transported to Union County Jail.
— Jeffrie Eugene Gory, 33, of 1168 Lakeside Drive, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around 10:30 p.m. on March 1.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Bruce O. Wilson Road reported on March 3 that someone had removed most of the copper from a central heat and air unit and also removed copper wire from a breaker box. The case was turned over to investigations.
— The owner of an abandoned residence on Cross Keys Highway, Union, reported on Feb. 26 that an unknown subject entered the residence, but nothing appeared to be missing. A report was sent to investigations.
— A utility trailer was stolen from The Planting Place — located at 1128 Jonesville Lockhart Highway, Jonesville — between the dates of Feb. 26-March 3. The trailer is a dolly trailer and is Master Tow brand. It is valued at $600.
— The owner of a business at 369 Beltline Road, Union, reported on March 1 that between 16-18 trailer axles had been taken from the business as well as two old telephones. He said an employee last saw the axles on Feb. 26, and they were discovered missing on March 1.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Yaika Renea Jeter, 27, of 720 Lakeside Drive, Union, was charged with assault and battery and two counts of malicious damage to property around 6:15 p.m. on Mar. 3. According to the arrest warrants, Jeter struck and bit a man about the face and arm during an argument which occurred on Faith Lane in Union. Jeter also used a brick and a hoe to damage the windshield of the man’s vehicle, and she threw a rock against the window of his house, knocking it out of the frame. According to the incident report, the victim stated that Jeter came into his home without knocking and began to yell at him about something that was on Facebook. When asked to leave, Jeter became angry and struck him in the face and bit his right elbow. After walking outside, Jeter began to damage windows to the house and the vehicle.
— Caprisha Jevon Davis, 22, of 1132 Old Friendship Road, Rock Hill, was charged with shoplifting around 2:20 p.m. on March 3. According to the arrest warrant, Davis entered Walmart, located at 513 North Duncan Bypass in Union, on Aug. 12, 2011, concealed clothing items in a pocketbook and exited the store without paying.
— Ronnie Lee Coleman, 58, of 123 Compton Circle, Union, was charged with shoplifting around 1 p.m. on March 2. According to the arrest warrant, Coleman concealed several items from Family Dollar — located at 410 East Main St., Union — on his person and left without paying on March 2. Coleman took food items valued at $8. He was transported to Union County Jail.
— Louise Nicole Crocker, 21, of 606 South Pinckney St., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 12:50 a.m. on March 3. According to the incident report, Crocker and her three-month old infant has stayed with two different residents of the apartment building on two consecutive nights. Both residents asked her to leave after she began acting irate, yelling and cursing. She would not comply with officers and had to be carried to the patrol car. She then had to be restrained to be transported to Union County Jail. While at the jail, staff had to use their taser on her to get her to comply. The infant was placed in custody of DSS.
— Carla Elizabeth Hill, 40, of 3211 Buffalo-West Springs Highway, Buffalo, was charged with driving under the influence around 12:10 a.m. on March 2.
— Charles Christopher Clark, 43, of 200 Francis Ave., Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 11:35 p.m. on March 2.
— Deandre Marquise Hill, 18, of 204 Hicks St., Union, was charged with simple possession of marijuana around 1:35 p.m. on March 1. According to the incident report, Hill was pulled over for violation of tinted windows. The officer used his department issued tint meter and advised Hill his window was 5 percent. While talking with Hill, the officer noticed a plastic bag containing a green, leafy substance near the driver’s side door. Hill was transported to Union County Jail and was issued a uniform traffic ticket for simple possession of marijuana.
