UNION — Willie Ethel Rice “Peewee” Powers, 68, 100-C Tiger Court, died Jan. 17, 2013 in Wallace Thomson Hospital.
A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late Christopher “Kit” Rice and Beatrice Hunter Rice.
Survivors include one brother, Ernest (Mary) Rice of Winston Salem, N.C., and one sister, Odessa Rice of Union; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at New Chapel AME Church with burial in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of her sister, 122 Rifle Range Road.
