The Union Cotillion Club presented five young women at its 46th annual Debutante Ball held December 28, 2012, at the Harry Moore Arthur Armory in Union, South Carolina. One daughter, one granddaughter, a niece and two guest debutantes were presented.

Miss Morgan Elizabeth Hathcock is the daughter of Ms. Marsha Elizabeth Jordan of Union and Mr. Floyd Raymond Hathcock of Lawrenceville, GA. She was sponsored by her mother and presented by her grandfather, Mr. Louis Merriman Jordan, Sr. Miss Hathcock is majoring in athletic training at the University of Georgia. She was escorted by Mr. William English Whitney III of Union.

Miss McKenzie Carwile Wilson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Douglas Wilson of Spartanburg. She was sponsored by her grandmother Mrs. John Preston Carwile and presented by her father. Miss Wilson is a pre-medicine major at Clemson University. She was escorted by Mr. Louis Hampton Ike of Spartanburg.

Miss Victoria Vowan Blackwell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Estes Blackwell of Greenville. She was sponsored by her aunt Miss Mary Virginia Blackwell and presented by Mr. Kenneth Lee Leonhardt of Union. Miss Blackwell is majoring in nursing at Clemson University. She was escorted by Mr. Nicholas Thomas Coffer of Union.

Miss Ashley Brooke LaPierre is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Grant LaPierre of Buffalo. She was sponsored by Mrs. James Buddy Caviness, Jr. and presented by Major James Buddy Caviness, Jr. Miss LaPierre is an elementary education major at North Greenville University. She was escorted by Mr. Joshua Buddy Caviness of Buffalo

Miss Merry Jordan Pierpont is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Lee Pierpont of Charlotte, NC. She was sponsored by Mrs. Thaddeus Philip Arnold and presented by Mr. Thaddeus Philip Arnold. Miss Pierpont is a pre-law major at Virginia Tech. She was escorted by Mr. John Matthew Snead of Matthews, NC.

Five sons of members were introduced by their mothers to the club members at the event.

Mr. Jacob Philip Arnold is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Philip Arnold. Mr. Arnold is a business management major at Liberty University.

Mr. Joshua Buddy Caviness is the son of Major and Mrs. James Buddy Caviness, Jr. Mr. Caviness is a health and wellness major at North Greenville University.

Mr. Nicholas Thomas Coffer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Thomas Coffer. Mr. Coffer is a graphic communications major at Clemson University.

Mr. John Simmons Fallaw is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Harley Fallaw. Mr. Fallaw is an accounting major at Presbyterian College.

Mr. Patrick Sterling Greer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sarratt Greer II. Mr. Greer is a business administration and management major at Presbyterian College.

One bride and groom, Dr. and Mrs. Neal Robert Goodbar of Greenwood, were also introduced at the ball. The couple was married on May 19, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church of Union. The bride is the former Nancy Hamilton Hope, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meek Hope.

Officers welcoming members and guests in the receiving line were: Mrs. John Harley Fallaw, president; Ms. Caroline Adams Barger, vice president; Mrs. Joseph Steven Hudson, secretary; and Mrs. Jay Thomas Coffer, treasurer.
