UNION — Mr. William Bruce Bobo, 53, loving husband of Sandra Bobo, 624 Brown’s Creek Rd., Union, went to Heaven Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 after a brief illness.

Mr. Bobo was born in Union April 17, 1959, a son of the late William James “Bill” Bobo and Juanita “Dolly” Johnson Bobo Revels. He was a graduate of Union High School and was formerly employed with Milliken & Company — Gillespie Plant. He was a member of Browns Creek Baptist Church and attended Philippi Baptist Church where he was a Vacation Bible School worker and a member of the Cooking Committee. Mr. Bobo enjoyed cooking and catering with Bruce’s Catering. He also enjoyed being outdoors on fishing trips with his fishing buddies and cruising through the neighborhood with his wife on his golf cart. Mr. Bobo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Glenda Fish and Brenda Williford, both of Union; a sister, Mary Ella Diamond of Melbourne, FL; a grandson, Nathan “Nat” Williford and Natalie “Pookey” Williford, both of Union; three nephews, Jimmy “French Fry” Diamond of FL, Chad Seymore of Union and Tim Seymore and wife Kryssie of Jonesville; two great-nieces, Courtney Seymore of Union and Kayla Newton of Jonesville; a great-nephew Cole Seymore; two brothers-in-law, Clyde Seymore and wife Sandra, all of Union and Billy Seymore and wife Pat of JoAnna.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Brad Goodale and Rev. John Lee. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Diamond, Nathan Williford, Chad Seymore, Tim Seymore, Heath Ward, Tyler Crocker, Chad Gault and Robbie Gentry.

The following are asked to assemble at the chapel at 2:45 p.m. to form the Honorary Escort: Phil Crayne, Wayne Vinson, Tony Archuleta, Tubo Owens, James Brown, Steve Morris, Kenny Morris, Ricky Smith, Jeff Allen, Howard Boulware, Sammy Smith, Ronnie Gregory, William Jolly, Gene Crocker, Evans Crocker, Steve Koskela, Tommy Hart, Dennis Pridemore, Tim Dehart, David Dehart, Bobby Dehart, Alfred Belk, Neal Howell, David Brewington, Michael Williams, Rod Knight, Tommy Scarborough, Chris Smith, Petey Ivey, Jim Summa, Gene Childers, Harold Dean Vinson, Hoyle Vinson and Todd Turner.

Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at SR Holcombe Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of his daughters, Brenda and Glenda, 609 Browns Creek Church Rd., Union.
