Photo courtesy of Buffalo Elementary School Using their imagination Mrs. Lawson’s second grade class at Buffalo Elementary School improved their writing skills while getting ready to celebrate Halloween. The class watched a pumpkin be carved into a Jack-O-Lantern and then used their imagination to create a story about the Jack-O-Lantern. The students enjoyed giving the classroom Jack-O-Lantern a name and a life story.

DECEMBER 14

THE UNION COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL GT DRAMA CLASS is having a special “Party with Pooh” in the UCHS Cafetorium. For one price, children may attend a party featuring the cast of Winnie-the-Pooh. Snacks will be provided, and children may have their pictures made with characters from the play; these will be put on a disk. Also included is admission to the performance of Winnie-the-Pooh, which begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Union County Arts Council and at UCHS.
