RALEIGH, N.C. — Margaret Harbin Cochran, 95, widow of John Lewis Cochran, died Sunday, Nov. 18, at Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, N.C. She was formerly of Union.

Born in Linden, Calif., she was a daughter of the late Andrew Vandiver and Ivy Edwards Harbin. She was a member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh, N.C., and was a housewife and teacher.

Surviving are two sons, Bob Cochran of Greenville and John Cochran and wife Johna of Anderson; two grandchildren, Katherine Cochran and Lt. Grayson Cochran; and two great-grandsons.

She was predeceased by five brothers and a sister, Katherine Harbin Davidson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Parker-White Funeral Home in Ware Shoals with Mr. George Rush officiating. Burial will follow in Turkey Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Parker-White Funeral Home from 2-3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. The family will be at their respective homes. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
