Student Council elections were held recently at Foster Park Elementary School. Students interested in campaigning for Student Council offices gave speeches, designed posters and hung them throughout the school. As they campaigned for various Student Council offices, many of the students talked about being a good citizen, helping others, and doing the right thing. Students in grades 3-5 then voted and the ballots were counted. Pictured left to right: Classroom representatives: Madeline Gilstrap, Abby Goodfellow, Zarria Smith, and Alexis Cribbs. Arianna Whitmire was elected as the Secretary. (A run-off for President resulted in a tie) Anna Rose Sawyer and Chaniah Brown will serve as Co-Presidents. Talia Glenn will serve as the Vice-President. Other class representatives: Carley Sumner, Kaitlyn Alexander, JT Wright, Matthew Martin, Leah Cody, Carmen Sliwa, and Tamirez Salter.
