Union County Shrine Bowl quarterback Keiston Smith led the Jackets to a 41-38 win over A.C. Flora on Friday night.

Now the senior will look to snag his first upper state title when his team takes on the Lions of Daniel this Friday night.

Smith connected on 16 of 23 passes for 387 yards and three touchdowns last week. He also picked up 120 yards on 15 carries with three touchdowns.

“Keiston was by far and away the best player on that field Friday night,” said Union County Head Coach Steve Taneyhill. “He probably played his best game of the year in the biggest game of the year. I think that a lot of credit goes to the wide receivers but a lot of those carries and throws he made under pressure were pretty impressive. He played awfully well and he’ll need to do that this Friday as well if we’re gonna win.”
