Military Deployment? It sounds very scary doesn’t it? For some people it is a way of life, go overseas for a year or longer then come home again. It is a never ending cycle until you get out of the military.
It is hard to imagine leaving everything you own behind to go serve your country. When you have a wife and children you miss out on special events like birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Some men and women have to stay for more than a year.
I know some people in my family that have been deployed very recently and it is tough for them to be gone for a year. All across the world we have US soldiers deployed. They are risking their lives just to protect us.
Overall I think that being deployed into a foreign country is frightening. You have to be mentally strong to do that.
