Photo courtesy of Foster Park Elementary School Wal-Mart Reward School Wal-Mart awarded 20 teachers at Foster Park Elementary Schools a $50 reward card to purchase supplies for their classrooms as part of the company’s nationwide Teacher Rewards Program. Through the program, Wal-Mart stores across the country select local kindergarten through eighth grade public schools and provide gift cards to teachers to offset the cost of classroom expenses. Barry Medford, local store manager, stated that so many of our teachers are constantly going into the store and picking up stuff for their classrooms, and this is just a way to help them with these expenses. After the cards were presented, the teachers were served punch and cake (also donated by Wal-Mart) by Dr. Kristi Woodall, Union County School superintendent (pictured) and Barbara Palmer, Foster Park Elementary principal. The staff at Foster Park Elementary would like to thank Wal-Mart for this reward and their continued support of our schools in Union County.
