Unlike other spring sports team, the season is more about preparation for the postseason than records.
“In track, we don't have a record, so all we do is prepare for the region, state qualifier and state finals,” said coach Caleb Clark. “Early in the season, I'm looking for kids who want to compete.
“Our girls may have all the right pieces to have a competitive team. Our boys should definitely have some competitive individuals, but we will have to see how the team develops through the season.”
Returning to the team is Jessica Hall, who finished fifth in the 100M hurdles at state last year.
With many athletes returning and many new faces, the Jackets look to send more of the team to state this year.
