UPDATE: After last night’s Region III-AAA contest, there is a three-way tie for third place between Clinton, Broome and Union County. Strength of schedule earned Union County the No. 3 seed and Broome nudged out Clinton for the final playoff bid from the region.
Union County will open post-season with a road game on Friday at Wren High School. Wren (8-2, 6-1 I-AAA), who hasn’t won a playoff game since 1992, is coming off a 55-13 region victory over Palmetto.
