UNION — Local seniors will have an opportunity to receive preventive care health services — free of charge — courtesy of St. Paul Adult Day Care.

St. Paul Adult Day Care will host a Preventive Care Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, offering a variety of health services and information for local seniors.

“We just want everyone to know that these services are available for free, and the event is open to the public,” said director Sara Thomas Johnson.

Services will include free mammograms and one-on-one time with health care providers.

The event will also feature yoga sessions and tips from fitness instructor Missy Kirby Wilkes.

Candidates for local elected offices will also attend the health fair to talk to those in attendance and answer any questions they may have, and entertainment will be provided.

St. Paul Adult Day Care currently provides services to approximately 20 clients and is licensed to accommodate up to 32. As long as clients are eligible for programs such as Community Long-Term Care (CLTC) or Mental Retardation and Related Disorders (MRRD), no cost for the daycare comes out of their own pockets.

For more information, call St. Paul’s Adult Day Care at (864) 429-8771.
