Robert Brent Gossett, 62, formerly of 302 Springdale Drive, Union, went to be with his Heavenly Father, Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at White Oak Manor, Spartanburg.
Mr. Gossett was born in Union, Aug. 30, 1945, a son of Mary Sparks Gossett and the late R.P. Gossett. He was a retired insurance agent and a member of Duncan Acres United Methodist Church. Mr. Gossett loved his church and was chairman of the official board until his health failed. He was a graduate of Union High School and Massey College in Atlanta. Mr. He was interested in softball and was a professional bowler for many years.
Surviving in an addition to his mother are a sister, Tamison Ward of Union; a nephew, Heath Ward of Union; two uncles, Robert Sparks of Union, and Wilson "Buck" Gossett of Charleston; and a number of cousins.
Graveside services will be held at Union Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008, conducted by the Rev. Tommie Bailey.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service. They request that you remember them in your prayers.
