TRYON, N.C. - Frances Lemon Wood, widow of Clark M. Wood, died Feb. 12, 2008.
Mrs. Wood was born in Newberry County, a daughter of the late Arthur and Eunice Henderson Lemon. She moved to Tryon in 1942 where she was of service to her church, friends, and community.
She leaves to cherish her memory a brother, George Lemon of Clinton; two sisters, Mildred Lyles and Josie Davis, of Whitmire; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008 at the Garrison Chapel Baptist Church, Markham Road, Tryon.
Burial will be in Good Shepherd Cemetery in Tryon.
Cannon & Sons Mortuary of Landrum has charge of arrangements.
