Union County led by nine points, 49-40, with 3:56 remaining. Woodmont hit a three, benefited from a charge call and then capitalized when the Jackets missed the front end of a one-and-one twice to make it a one possession game.
The Yellow Jackets finish the season at 16-9.
“Tough loss,” said coach Joe Pitt. “First season of basketball at Union County High School - I thought it was very successful. You're always disapointed with a loss and wish we could have went further, but great season. The kids played well together. I really enjoyed these young men and look forward to working with the young ones in the offseason.”
