UNION — Lizzie Mae Betsill Moorman, 65, 176 Sedgefield Drive, died Aug. 31, 2011 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

A native of Union, she was the wife of Jimmy Lee Moorman of the home and the daughter of the late Wilbert Foster and Saint Lawrence Bestill. She was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, a 1964 graduate of Sims High School, and was retired from Conso Products. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda and Shirley Woodruff.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three sons, Timothy Betsill, of Columbia, Anthony (Gretta) Betsill of Spartanburg, and Micheal (Jill) Moorman of Boiling Springs; two brothers, Willie Lewis Stewart of Woodruff and Stewart Woodruff of CA.; one sister, Betty Woodruff of Spartanburg; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Public viewing will be held Sunday from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Chapel, 361 Meansville Road.

Funeral service will be held Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home.
