UNION COUNTY — The commitment of two men to USC Union and its mission of providing quality higher education was celebrated Friday morning at USC Union.The Union/Laurens Commission on Higher Education held the 19th Annual Founder’s Day Celebration in the Main Building Auditorium at USC Union Friday morning. During the ceremony, the commission honored Dr. Allan D. Charles and William Comer for their many years of service to and support of USC Union. Farr charged with murder

UNION — A Union man originally charged with attempted murder in the September death of another man is now charged with murder.In a statement released Friday afternoon, the Union Public Safety Department announced that the attempted murder charge against Herman Phillip “Bubba” Farr, 19, of 308 Aetna Street, Union, had been upgraded to murder.The press release also stated that a 15-year-old juvenile has also been charged with murder in the incident....
