Charles Warner|Daily Times Firefighters from four fire departments were dispatched to the scene of a fire Friday evening. Capt. Greg Pickens of the Union Public Safety Department said the fire apparently began in an outbuilding on North Mountain Street and then spread to a nearby outbuilding on Wedgewood Court. Firefighters were still on the scene extinguishing hot spots and trying to determine the cause of the fire at press time. The Bonham, Monarch, Southside, and Union fire departments responded to the blaze. Pickens said there were no injuries.
Outbuildings damaged, destroyed by fire
UNION — An outbuilding on North Mountain Street was destroyed and an another on Wedgewood Court damaged by the same fire Friday evening. Firefighters were still on the scene extinguishing the blaze and trying to determine its cause at press time.
