Firefighters from four fire departments were dispatched to the scene of a fire Friday evening. Capt. Greg Pickens of the Union Public Safety Department said the fire apparently began in an outbuilding on North Mountain Street and then spread to a nearby outbuilding on Wedgewood Court. Firefighters were still on the scene extinguishing hot spots and trying to determine the cause of the fire at press time. The Bonham, Monarch, Southside, and Union fire departments responded to the blaze. Pickens said there were no injuries.
Outbuildings damaged, destroyed by fire
UNION — An outbuilding on North Mountain Street was destroyed and an another on Wedgewood Court damaged by the same fire Friday evening. Firefighters were still on the scene extinguishing the blaze and trying to determine its cause at press time. Empty cross, empty tomb

The cross on which He died is empty, but so is the tomb in which His lifeless body was placed. Jesus Christ died for our sins, but more importantly He triumphed over death to continue bringing hope and eternal salvation to those for whom He died. Easter is the celebration of the empty cross and, more importantly, the empty tomb, both of which testify to Christ's love for us and His power to triumph over death so that we might know life everlasting with Him.
