Charles Warner|Daily Times The point of life Without God there really is no point to life. It is simply a brief season of existence that is over all too soon. With God, however, there is a point to life. It is to prepare for eternity with our Creator who loved us enough to give us life and then, through His Son, give us eternal salvation. That is a life worth living. That is an eternity worth living because, one way or another, we will all live forever in the hereafter. Deciding where we spend that eternity is the purpose, is the point of this life.

Dr. Seuss’ birthday was March 2. He was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist most widely known for children’s picture books written and illustrated as Dr. Seuss. After the families wrote together, third grade students, led by T.J. Tyler (music teacher at Foster Park Elementary) sang several songs about Dr. Seuss and read some of his works. The audience even participated by reading sections of “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” It was a fun night for all.

UNION — The number of visitors to the Union County Museum’s online virtual exhibit of old photos of Union and postcards dating back to the 19th century more than doubled in March. There is, however, a power far greater than that of Satan and his worldly allies and that is the saving power of Jesus Christ and the grace that comes with accepting Him as your Lord and Savior. The grace that comes through the salvation provided only by Christ is, however, not a license to indulge in sinful behavior, but the power to resist the temptation of sin. By leaning on Christ and Christ alone and placing all our trust in Him we receive that grace which enables us to live the life that He wants us to live.
