Crime Report

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Colby Eugene Bright, 20, of 103 Lowe St., Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 15. According to the arrest warrant, Bright engaged in an altercation with a woman, spitting in her face and making threats to kill her causing her to fear for her life and safety, while on Brookside Drive, Union.

— Melvin Eugene Eison, 41, of 109 Willow Lane, Union, was charged with malicious damage to property around 1:05 a.m. on Feb. 16. According to the arrest warrant, Eison hit a metal utility door with his hand, bending it, during an argument while at Gault Avenue, Union. Damage is estimated at $150.

— Bryan Lee Greene, 24, of 611 Browns Creek Church Road, Union, was charged with possession of marijuana and trespassing around 1:45 p.m. on Feb. 14. According to the incident report, officers responded to Wal-Mart after receiving a complaint that Greene was there after having been placed on trespass notice from the store. Greene was transported to Union County Jail, and while searching Greene, officers found a bag of marijuana in a cigarette pack in his pants pocket.

— Jack Jennings, Jr., 66, of 212 Hamlet St., Union, was charged with pointing and presenting a firearm around 10:20 p.m. on Feb. 14. According to the arrest warrant, Jennings pointed a handgun at two people at his residence on Hamlet Street.

— Kenneth Lewis Tucker, 44, of 901 Lakeside Drive, Union, was charged with driving under the influence around 4:35 a.m. on Feb. 16.

— Marcus Trevelle Goode, 40, of 263 Vaughan Road, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around 2:55 a.m. on Feb. 16.

— Cassandra Blair Sinclair, 21, of 439 Prospect Corner Road, Union, was charged with driving under suspension around 3:20 a.m. on Feb. 15.

— Brian Keith Dawkins, 39, of 1034 Neal Shoals Road, Union, was charged with open container around 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 16.

— Brenda Rice, 52, of 204 Cabin Street, Union, was charged with disorderly conduct around 11:40 p.m. on Feb. 16.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incident:

— A resident of Meansville Road, Union, reported on Feb. 16 that someone took a bicycle from her residence between Feb. 15 and Feb. 16. The bicycle was a Huffy brand pink five-speed valued at $117.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:

— Edward Matthew Sweezy, 32, of 1223 Arthur Boulevard, Union, was charged with public intoxication around 6:55 p.m. on Feb. 14. According to the incident report, officers responded to Wallace Thomson Hospital after receiving reports from security that there was someone intoxicated at the hospital. Sweezy was transported to Union County Jail.

— Teddie Bruce Mull, 49, and Miriam Elise Dickert, 22, both of 267 Eaves Road, Whitmire, were each charged with breach of peace around 12:05 a.m. on Feb. 15. According to the incident report, officers were at a nearby residence assisting Animal Control in the picking up of two dogs when Dickert and Mull came out of their residence yelling that no one was taking their dogs. Dickert then came into the yard making threats toward a neighbor and Mull continued to yell. The Whitmire Police Department was called for assistance, and Dickert and Mull were both transported to Union County Jail.
