The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Tammy Loyd Roach, 46, of 146 Hamm St., Union, was charged with malicious damage to property and tampering with utilities around 5:20 p.m. on May 21. According to the incident report, Browns Creek Water Company had cut off the water to Roach’s residence, but the lock was broken off of the meter and the water was turned back on. Damage to the meter was estimated at $100, and water used since cutoff (7,000 gallons) was valued at $40.
— Todd Michael Moore, 24, of 2543 Meansville Road, Jonesville, was charged with breach of peace around 11:25 p.m. on May 21.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— On May 21, officers responded to Palmetto Inn in reference to an assault. According to the incident report, two women each had visible injuries to their faces and arms. One of the victims stated the subject had taken her car and left the scene. Officers located the vehicle after the driver had wrecked behind a store in Carlisle and ran. A K-9 unit located the subject, who had injuries to his throat and wrists. The subject was air lifted at that time, and the officer will sign warrants on the subject for criminal domestic violence, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, and grand larceny.
— A Jonesville resident reported on May 20 that medication valued at $108 was stolen from her vehicle while parked at her home.
— A resident of Eaves Road, Whitmire, reported on May 21 that someone stole checks from his home and attempted to use them at Walmart and Piggly Wiggly stores. The victim also plans to file a report with Newberry County Sheriff’s Department.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrest:
— Kintez Jacorey Harris, 20, of 226 Kissy Creek Circle, Union, was charged with shoplifting and simple possession of marijuana around 8:40 p.m. on May 21. According to the incident report, Bell Exxon employees noticed Harris took a Baby Ruth candy bar without paying, and when they pointed it out, Harris began to argue. Officers were called, and when they arrested Harris for shoplifting and searched him, they also found a clear bag containing a green leafy material believed to be marijuana in his pocket.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incident:
— A resident of Gage Avenue, Union, reported on May 22 that someone scratched her vehicle with a sharp object. Officers responded and photographed the vehicle.
