5:30-8 p.m.: Mt. Rowell Baptist Church & Red Hill Baptist Church hosts their joint 2013 Vacation Bible School (Theme: Hip Hop Hope) at the Mt. Rowell Baptist Church, 534 Adams Lake Road, Union. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy. Rev. K. Russell Sheppard and Rev. Geoffrey Stephens are the host pastors.
6-8:30 p.m.: The Outreach Deliverance Church in Carlisle invites children ages 3-18 to the “Kingdom Rock VBS: Where Kids Stand Strong for God.” This VBS is an experience that each child wants to have this summer. The evening events at “Kingdom Rock” will have children participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, experience epic Bible adventures, make and dig into yummy treats, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to stand strong, test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer.

Ongoing Events
Mitchell Chapel Christian Church, 381 Kelly Road in Union, holds services at its new location, 143 Camelot Drive in Union.
The Missionary Auxiliary of the Pacolet River Baptist Association has an Emergency Food Pantry in the rear (annex) of the town hall in Jonesville. The pantry is open Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon and other times by calling the numbers posted on the sign at the entrance of the annex. Bring identification and proof residence.
New Emanuel Chapel Baptist Church has changed its services times to 9 a.m. for Sunday School and 10 a.m. for Praise and Worship.
