UNION – Heath M. Millwood, 38, of 302 3rd Ave., Union, was charged Jan. 10 with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, and unlawful disposal of methamphetamine.
According to the incident report, officers served a search warrant on Millwood’s residence on Jan. 10, and as officers searched, evidence of methamphetamine waste was discovered.
The report stated officers found a trail of waste products leading to an abandoned house beside his property. In and around the area, officers found several plastic drink bottles used to manufacture methamphetamine, empty lithium battery packs, cold and sinus packs that contain ephedrine, liquid fire, Coleman fuel, coffee filters, aluminum foil, fertilizer and other items used for the production of methamphetamine.
Small quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana were also found on the living room table.
The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:
— Robert Cornelius Beason, 25, of 123 E. Chapman Drive, Spartanburg; Jones Eric Levette, 22, of 145 George Washington Carver Drive, Spartanburg; Brandon Rex Miller, 22, of 251 James H. Young St., Spartanburg; and Keith Philson II, 21, of 100 Prince Hall Lane, Spartanburg, were each charged Jan. 10 with shoplifting. According to the incident report, Philson was detained inside Wal-Mart, 513 N. Duncan Bypass in Union, while Beason, Levette and Miller were detained after leaving the store.
— Daniel Leander Wood, 25, of 808 W. Main St., Union, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the incident report, Wood was stopped around 4:26 p.m. Jan. 10 by an officer while walking down Thompson Boulevard after the officer saw him throw a plastic container on the ground. The report states that the officer noticed that Wood was nervous and asked if he could search him. Wood agreed, and the officer located “a makeshift smoking pipe” in Wood’s pocket. The officer noticed that it had an odor of marijuana coming from it. Wood was transported to Union County Jail.
— Tierra Ysante Davis, 22, of 208 Arthur Blvd., Union, was charged with trespassing on Jan. 10. According to the incident report, Davis was seen going into a residence on Columbus Street, and she was under trespass notice for the entire Union Housing Authority. Davis was transported to Union County Jail.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Daniel Rodelle Gallman, 24, of 175 Industrial Park Road, Union, was charged with pedestrian in the roadway around 4:05 a.m. on Jan. 11. According to the incident report, officers had been dispatched to Long Twelve Street for a burglary. They began looking for the suspect, and found Gallman, who fit the description. Officers asked to speak with Gallman, and he refused and began running from them. He ran into the woods near a large pipe and hid. Officers deployed a K-9 unit, and Gallman began to run again. An officer drew a departmental taser, and Gallman began to comply but soon refused again. Gallman was asked several times to get on the ground; he refused; and the taser was deployed. Gallman was cleared of burglary and was charged with pedestrian in the roadway.
— Caleb Hendrix Roberts, 26, of 206 Mill St., Buffalo, was charged with breaking and entering. Officers were dispatched around 3:59 a.m. Jan. 11 to a residence on South Street in Buffalo in reference to a man breaking into the home. Three residents in the home stated they were awakened by a loud noise at the back door to find Roberts in the house screaming and threatening one of the residents. All residents stated that Roberts had never been invited into the home. Roberts was transported to Union County Jail.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Industrial Park Road reported Jan. 10 that her vehicle had been vandalized while parked at an address on Lockhart Highway. The victim stated that she parked her vehicle around 7 a.m. that day and noticed her vehicle had been scratched when she returned. The damage to the vehicle was photographed.
— Employees of Dollar General, 4831 Lockhart Hwy., reported a shoplifting incident around 7:34 p.m. Jan. 10. Items taken included make-up and food items. Surveillance video will be turned over to investigations.
