Fifth-grade students at Foster Park Elementary are off to a highly organized outdoor learning experience at Camp Greenville. The students will spend three days learning more about the outdoors — and themselves — by taking part in activities which take place in the outdoors. Activities such as studying animal tracks, taking nature hikes and lessons on conservation will make learning fun and relevant. Most lessons are designed to promote teamwork and cooperation. The students will eat “family style.” They then weigh all left over food to go along with their conservation lesson. Fifth-grade teachers Sally Inman, Diane Hodges, Tanya Craig and Katie Prince sponsored the event. (Photo submitted)
