PACOLET – The Lockhart Lady Devils played in a preseason tournament on Monday at Pacolet Middle School. The final score was Pacolet 30, Lockhart 12.

Elizabeth Parks led the scoring for the Lady Devils with 6 points, and Heather Petty and Chasity McCluney each had 3.

On Tuesday, Lockhart played Jonesville, taking home the victory by a final score of 20-17. In that game, Elizabeth Parks led with 14 points, Shealia Lindsey had 4 and Heather Petty had 2.

Regular season play began Monday when Lockhart hosted EP Todd. The final score EP Todd 32, Lockhart 11. Elizabeth Parks scored 7, and Shelia Lindsey and Heather Petty each had 2.

On Thursday, Lockhart hosted Landrum. The final score was Landrum 18, Lockhart 10. Heather Petty and Elizabeth Parks had 4 each and Chasity McCluney had 2 points.

The girls are coached by Lori Roberts with the assistance of Chelsea McCloud.

“We are very proud of the effort the girls put forth tonight,” Roberts said. ” We have a total of seven girls on the team and they play extremely hard. We need to work on our foul shots. We gave up 10 points from the free throw line. If we had made our foul shots, we could have won the game.”
