COLUMBIA — Memorial service for Laticia “Tish” James Petty, 78, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Suber Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at the church from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Petty died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012.

Born in Union, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Viola Mosely James. A 1956 graduate of Winthrop College, she worked as an office manager for an insurance/real estate company. In addition, she worked for the S.C. State Fair each year. She was a member of Suber Marshall Memorial UMC and was an avid Gamecock, Yankees and Dallas Cowboy fan.

Surviving are her husband, Bobby Wilburn Petty of the home; daughters, Tammy Petty Keen (Jim) of Dalton, Ga., Kay Petty Taylor of Tampa, Fla., Barbara Petty Laird of Lexington; twin sister, Patricia James of Union; and eight grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Bobby Wilburn Petty Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Suber Marshall Memorial UMC, 3900 Live Oak St., Columbia, S.C. 29205.
