UNION — Mrs. Jeanette Greene Richbourg, 84 widow of Jack B. Richbourg, 103 Hidden Hill Road, Union, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.

Mrs. Richbourg was born in Union, Sept. 22, 1928, a daughter of the late James Baxter Greene Sr. and Gladys Sorgee Greene. She was a graduate of Union High School and attended Winthrop College. Mrs. Richbourg was retired from the Richbourg Furniture and had previously worked for the University of Tennessee (Oak Ridge), Southern Bell, The Gibson Agency and Her Majesty Industries. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Union and was a former member of the Junior Charity League and the Union County Arts Council.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan R. Fairey and husband William S. Fairey Jr. of Sarasota, FL; a granddaughter, Austin Leigh Fairey of Baton Rouge, LA and Sarasota, FL; a brother, Donald C. Greene of Atlanta, GA.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Robert Emory. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the cemetery.

The family wishes to express a special thank you to Harmony Care Hospice, her caregivers and Doctors, Nurses and staff of Wallace Thomson Hospital for care and concern of Mrs. Richbourg during her illness.
