The winners of the Veterans Day essay and poster contests march during the Union County Veterans Day Parade on Monday. The essay and poster contests were sponsored through local schools by the Union County Veterans Day Parade Committee. The theme of the contests and the Veterans Day Service that followed the parade was veterans, their families and the impact of their deployment on their families. The winning essays are on Page 3 in today's edition of The Union Daily Times and the winning posters will be in Thursday's edition.
