UNION — The Union County Economic Development Board held its annual Christmas Drop-In at the Union County Museum earlier this week.

Andrena Powell-Baker, executive director of the development board, said the Tuesday night drop-in — catered by The Inn at Merridun — was a way to thank local, state and regional partners for their support throughout the year.

Board chairman Joe Nichols said the event was held at Union County Museum so people from out of town could visit the museum and residents of Union who had never been would also have an opportunity to visit.

The board welcomed two new members — Dale Wendel and Joe Hines. Wendel is part of the board’s industry sector, while Hines is an at-large member. Development board members come from industry, higher education, school district, public and private industry, utilities, healthcare and finance sectors.

With two new members on the board, one board member — David Rogers — rotated off the board.
