The Union Public Safety Department reported the following arrests:

— Kevin Whaley McCarley, 41, of 108 Merriman Ave., Union, was charged with criminal domestic violence. According to the arrest warrant, McCarley pushed a female down, causing her to hit the back of her head on a concrete porch and in turn causing a contusion to her head.

— Gary Lee Richard Spitler, 37, of 755 North Duncan Bypass, Union, was charged with open container and malicious damage to property. According to the incident report, officers found Spitler lying in the front seat of a vehicle outside American Inn after he had punched out the window of one of the rooms. He had an open can of beer in the vehicle with him.

— Kenneth Lamar Norman, 29, of 208 Monroe Street, Union, was charged with assault and battery. According to the arrest warrant, Norman hit and pulled the hair of a female while in the parking lot of Lil’ Cricket located at 1236 Arthur Blvd., Union.

— Thomas Eugene Jeter, 53, of 3117 Berry Farm Rd., Carlisle, was charged with trespassing. According to the incident report, Jeter refused to leave an address on Union Blvd. for which he already had a trespass notice.

The Union Public Safety Department reported the following incidents:

— A resident of Rogers Circle, Union, reported on Dec. 30 that her back window had been broken while she was away from her home, and items were stolen including two televisions, a Nintendo Wii with games, an iPad, a desktop computer and other items valued at a total of $3,139. The incident report also states the suspect drank Kool-Aid from the victim’s refrigerator and spilled some of it on the floor. The case was turned over to investigations.

— A resident of South Pinckney Street, Union reported on Dec. 28 that her home was broken into, with items missing including two televisions, a Nintendo Wii with games and two bb guns. Items and damage to the house were valued at a total of $1,630. The case was turned over to investigations.
