Copeland to lead Junior Charity League of Greensboro, N.C.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Union native was selected to lead an organization in Greensboro, N.C.

The Junior League of Greensboro, N.C., Inc. has announced that the Executive Committee for the 2013-14 Junior League year will be led by President Julie Malloy Copeland. Copeland will serve a one-year term from June 1 2013-May 31, 2014.

“The Junior League of Greensboro enjoys a very rich history,” Copeland said. “I am honored to be afforded the opportunity to help shape its future and eagerly look forward to advancing the organization’s mission.”

Copeland joined the Junior League in 2004 and has held various internal and external placements, including Membership Chair and Assistant Chair, Food Assistance Volunteer, and has also served on the Committee for Breast Cancer Awareness. Most notably, she has served on the Executive Committee as Corresponding Secretary, Community Vice President and President-Elect.

In addition to her dedication and commitment to the Junior League, Copeland serves as a Director with the National League of Junior Cotillions, actively volunteers with Junior Achievement, and is a member of the 2012-2013 Class of Leadership Greensboro. Professionally, Copeland is Vice President of Talent Management & Development at a local organizational development and leadership firm.

A Bonner Scholar from Wofford College, Copeland is a native of Union and resides in Greensboro with her husband, Brooks. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David O. Malloy Sr.
