When I went to the Town Hall today (Wednesday), I was told that Leroy saw a black bear in his back yard. That’s scary!! Why did a bear come into Lockhart? Animal Control came out and I really haven’t heard anymore news on it. Maybe WSPA might report something tonight on the news.
Sammy Webber told me to let you know he will pay $25 to get back three items taken from the Masonic Lodge in Lockhart when it was broke into, Saturday night. He said they aren’t worth anything to whoever took them but to the Masons they mean a lot. He said he will pay $50 if the person or people get arrested.
It seems that every night someone is letting the air out of tires at Marvin’s and Gerald’s. Keith Queen’s truck was broken into and tools stole. And someone took Troy Millwood’s bulldog and someone else’s bulldog, but I don’t remember who they said.
This has all taken place between Saturday and now. Cameras are being set up around town to catch these people who haven’t any respect for anyone else. Lockhart doesn’t seem to get a break when it comes to bad news.
Remember In Prayer
Regina Denton did make it home after all. We are all so happy for her. Doc Young is home from the hospital also. Please pray that they get stronger and well.
After a meeting with Johnson Sanitation, the Town of Lockhart has decided to continue using them for our trash pickup. It will be up to you to have your trash out at the road on Thursday morning. If all goes well with their schedule they will be there then, but as in the past it could be Friday or Saturday, but it will be one of those days.
Now if they pass you by, please give them a call and they will come back. Their number is on your trash can. I’ll find it and give it to you next week. You can also call Town Hall, but no one is there on Friday or weekends.
Home For A Visit
Connie Bell, was home this week, all the way from New Mexico. She brought her new husband, Joe, his two girls and her daughter. They have been staying with Ronnie and Caroline Thomason. It’s always great to see her, which isn’t seldom. She’s hooked on hash and went to Midway to meet Penny for lunch and said she had to buy hash to take home with her. I hope she remembered the ice and cooler.
The Source Of Her Pain
The patient who came to my radiology office for abdominal X-rays was already heavily sedated. But I still had to ask her a lot of questions, the last one being, “Ma’am, where is your pain right now?”
Through her medicated fog, she answered, “He’s at work.”
Seen in a John Deere sales office. “The only machine we don’t stand behind is our manure spreader.”
Well, I thought of a lot of different things to tell all of you through the week, but I should have wrote them down, and now it’s late and my mind is half asleep. Maybe I’ll do better next week.
Good night and call me at 864-545-6652 And ladies, please try to make a throw for my Hospice box, please. Thanks.
