UNION — Mr. James Kenneth Williams, 311 Arthur Boulevard, Union, S.C., expired on Oct. 23, 2013 in Spartanburg, S.C.
James was the son of Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Williams who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Mae Frances Williams, and a daughter, Hattie M. Williams of the home.
James moved from Bennettsville, S.C. to Brooklyn, NY in 1947. He began working at The Forrest Box Company in Brooklyn, NY as a manager. He worked there for over 40 years.
James met his wife Miss Mae Frances Shell and they were united in marriage in 1952. To this union a daughter, Hattie M. Williams where born.
In the year of 1982 the family moved to Union, S.C. and became affiliated With Corinth Baptist Church.
James was a member of Corinth Society Circle #3 and Calhoun Street Community Club.
James had four brothers and four sisters. three brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sisters Eva Mae (James) Brown and Dorothy Lee, both of Brooklyn, NY.
James was a pleasant and fun loving person he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, 302 Herndon St. Union, South Carolina 29379. Rev. J. Archie Calhoun, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Union Community Funeral Home, 219 W. Main St. Union, is in charge of arrangements.
