UNION — Mary Elizabeth Foster Good, 80, of 413 Blueridge Road, passed June 10, 2014.
A native of Union, she was the daughter of the late Horrace Wall and Elmira Foster Gault. She was a member of Mark Hill Baptist Church and a former employee of Buffalo Mills. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, sponsor of the Mary E. Good Gospel Singers, and was a gospel announcer on WBCU Radio for 36 years.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda (Raymond) Whiteside and Sheila (James) McNeil, both of Union, SC, and Rita (Terry) Jeter of Carlisle, SC; four sons, Jackie Good, Danny (Jacqueline) Good, Steve Good, all of Union, SC, and Tony (Elexa) Good of Carlisle, SC; two adopted daughters, Gloria Young and Edna Meadow; two adopted grandchildren, Printess Giles and Samuel Jeter; three stepdaughters, Mary (David) Glenn, and Maxine Holmes, both of Union, and Sharon (Jerome) Beasley of Carlisle; four stepsons, Harold (Hazel) Jeter, Stanley (Sharon) Holmes, Bryan (Michelle) Holmes, all of Union, and Kenneth (TyRhonda) Holmes of Spartanburg; one sister, Janie Lee Clowney of Union; a brother, Rev. Wadell (Ruthie) Gault of Union; 59 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Pacolet River Baptist Association Center with burial in the Mark Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home.
