JONESVILLE — Veronica Eison “Ronnie” Sims, 49, of 396 Mount Joy Church Road entered eternal rest May 2, 2014.


A native of Manhattan, NY, she was the widow of Larry Gene Sims and daughter of Mary Geraldine Smith Eison and the late Gaines Wesley “Heavy” Eison. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church where she served as a member and Chaplain of the Usher Board, member of the Gospel Ensemble, and Sunday School Secretary. She was a member of the Union County Ushers Union. She was a 1982 graduate of Jonesville High School and a former employee of Exopack.


In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Christopher Eison.


Survivors in addition to her mother include two daughters, Shamondria Sims and Deondria Sims both of the home; one grandson, Kameron O’Bryan Peake of the home; three brothers, Fred Roy Harris of Jonesville, SC, Gaines W. Eison Jr., of Atlanta, GA, Minister Markette “Mark” (Sherry) Eison of Inman, SC; four sisters, Patricia (Lonnie) Spears of Union, SC, Debra (Larry) Glenn of Jonesville, SC, Robin Adams of Lithonia, GA, and Marquette “Marcy” (Willie Mac) Hunter of Union, SC.


Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.


The family will receive friends at the home.
