UNION COUNTY — The Union County Yellow Jackets varsity boys basketball team suffered a loss to Broome High School on Tuesday with a final score of 57-51. This puts the Yellow Jackets at 0-2 in region play and 5-10 overall.


Leading scorers in Tuesday’s game were Tre Eison with 11 points, Kurtlin Rice with 10 points, and Quan Hardy with eight points. Quan Hardy picked up six rebounds, all of which were defensive. Tre Eison had five steals and six assists.


On Monday night, the Yellow Jackets defeated Richard Winn Academy with a final score of 67-33. Leading scorers in that game were Quan Hardy with 18 points, Kurtlin Rice with nine points, and JD Cheek with eight points.


The Yellow Jackets will go on the road Friday to take on the Chester Cyclones.
