The only team representing South Carolina in the USFA World Series Tournament in Panama City Beach, Fl., the Carolina Rage finished 7-2.

The seven-day tournament — including over 600 teams from around the U.S. in age groups 8U-18U — was held July 13-19, and the Carolina Rage played through Friday night. The team defeated the Georgia Mustangs (of Alpharetta, Ga.), Pacers Fastpitch (of Southside, Ala.), Louisiana Starz (of Leesville, La.), Southern Shock (of Petersburg, Ind.), CHAOS (of DeFuniak Springs, Fl.), Mafia FP (of Mooresville, Ind.) and SWAT 2000 (of Humble, Texas).

After winning two pool games and two bracket games, the Rage lost to the Heritage Hurricanes (of Spring Hill, Tenn.) early Friday morning, moving them to the losers’ bracket. The team then won three consecutive games, moving into second place in their bracket and moving onto the Diamond Championship Bracket. In their 5th game of the day, the Carolina Rage was paired up against the LA Hurricanes. After a tough battle, the Hurricanes won, eliminating the Carolina Rage, putting them in 2nd place in their bracket, which was 7th place out of 70 teams.
