UNION — The Union County Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its second “I Love a Summer Night” Downtown Music Fest event — featuring two bands — from 6-9 p.m. this Saturday, July 12, on Main Street, Union.
Bands to be featured at this Saturday’s event include The Weatherman Band (featuring WSPA-TV peronality and Union native Jack Roper) and the Carolina Rhythm Band.
Audience members will be able to sing and dance the night away as they listen to both bands.
The Weatherman Band with Jack Roper promises to be entertaining as they play audiences favorite oldies and beach music hits.
The Carolina Rhythm Band covers a broad variety of music, from beach and Motown, to country and classic rock. Members include David Giles (lead singer), Donnie Plyler (lead guitar/background vocals), Laura Thompson (keyboard), Len Rogers (drums), Jennifer Tankersley (vocals), Steve “Hollywood” Busbin (bass guitar).
