The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:
— Paul Darryl Rice, 53, of 306 Lukesville Church Road, Buffalo, was charged with third-degree assault and battery around 2:20 p.m. Oct. 21. According to the incident report, Rice and another Union County Detention Center inmate engaged in a verbal argument near the detention center office, and Rice slammed the man into the office window, causing the window to break. The damage was estimated at $200.
— Tommy Wayne McGowan Sr., 55, and Tommy Wayne McGowan Jr., 23, both of 202 Lowry Street, Union, were each charged with breach of peace around 8:08 p.m. Oct. 21.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office reported the following incidents:
— A resident of Bobby Faucette Road, Jonesville, reported on Oct. 21 that her residence had been ransacked, and items missing included a 50-inch Hisense TV valued at $500, a Nintendo Wii game console valued at $200, and speakers to a Phillips stereo system valued at $50. The report states there were marks on the front door consistent with someone using a tool to pry the door open, and a window AC unit was disturbed as if someone attempted to gain entry into the residence by removing the unit.
