Thank You

We say thank you to the staff of Newberry County Sheriff’s Department, Bob Beard and other staff involved in the recent updates and changes to Whitmire residents addresses. This is a service and change that Whitmire has needed for years. Some of the streets in Whitmire do not correspond correctly with GPS systems. This can cause delays in life threatening situations, due to first responder fire and rescue drivers who are not familiar with Whitmire addresses.

Here is some online information to share: For those with a 9-1-1 address change in Whitmire go to www.scdmvonline.com, click on Online Services at the top right. At the bottom right of the next page under General Services click on Change Your Address. From there just follow the instructions and you will be mailed your new registrations and your driver’s license will be changed in their system and you can print the final page for your records. This is free.

Having this new correct information will save lives, it’s worth a trip to SCDMV to make the changes. Be sure to notify your bank, cell phone company, friends/family, local merchants,

Alrighty, Readers, “Garabund The Deadline Fairy” is tapping my shoulders, trying to hit the delete key on the keyboard.. Poof ! Garabund go away!
